Rihanna Gets a Maori Tribal Tattoo the Traditional Way

In order to mark her recent trip to New Zealand, Rihanna decided to get a permanent reminder by having a traditional Maori tattoo added to her already vast collection of inkings.

The tattoo was done the traditional way, using a chisel, ink pigment and a mallet, and was completed in West Auckland at Moko Ink studio by tattooist Inia Taylor, with help from local musician Tiki Taane.

The world-famous pop star had the tattoo completed after performing three shows in Auckland this week as part of her Diamonds world tour.
