Teenager Alex Colvin features in the Guardian’s regular gallery ‘24 Hours in Pictures’, competing in the under-17 men’s long jump final on day one of the 2012 New Zealand National Athletics Championships at Waitakere’s Trusts Stadium. Runner Nick Willis was the headline act on the first day that also featured a number of other Olympic hopefuls, including sprinter Monique Williams.
