Xero Further Expands into US

New Zealand-based online accounting software company, Xero has opened a Denver-area office as part of its US expansion. The local office, in the Denver Tech Center, will be Xero’s fourth in the US.

The Wellington company recently moved its US headquarters to a new space in San Francisco and has offices in Los Angeles and New York, in addition to the United Kingdom and Australia.

Xero has 210,000 paying customers in 100 countries.

“Cloud computing has turned accounting on its head, opening new insight and opportunity for financial advisors and businesses,” San Francisco-based president of Xero US Jamie Sutherland said. “Financial professionals are quickly moving away from legacy desktop solutions like QuickBooks and embracing the power of the cloud.”

The company is backed by Peter Thiel, co-founder of PayPal and Palantir Technologies.
