Countryside in Collage

Cruising through New Zealand, marvelling at the breathtaking natural environments that define this country, Savannah artist Laura Adams returned to the US and had an “explosion of creativity”. “I worked non-stop,” Adams said. “It just flew out of me. We saw so much incredible scenery. I just had to get it out of me while it was still fresh in my mind.” “Kia Ora New Zealand!,” is Adams’ solo exhibition currently on display at An American Craftsman Gallery in Savannah, and looks like a dreamy, impressionistic landscape inspired by the Tolkien-esque beauty. “In New Zealand, there is turquoise water everywhere,” she said. “There’s a sense of coolness and calm and peace I try to convey in my work.” The exhibition runs through July 3.
