Climb a mountain and there are no signs telling you to stay away from the edge of cliffs, keep to the paths or not to drop litter. Kiwis seem to know all this already and don’t need nannying. For a city dweller used to being bossed about by signs at almost every beauty spot in England, this comes as a bit of a surprise.”
