Smokin’ in the US

Singer/songwriter Gin Wigmore makes her US debut in March playing a selection of southern tour dates with US band Citizen Cope. Auckland-born Wigmore, 23, will release her first full-length, Holy Smoke, March 16 via Universal Motown. The tour will kick off in Austin on March 12, and after her record release show in New Orleans, she will return to the Texas capital for some still-to-be-announced SXSW showcases. In 2004, at the age of 16, Wigmore won the International Songwriting Contest, becoming the youngest winner in the history of the competition. She then released an EP, Extended Play, in New Zealand, and by 2008 was signed to Universal Motown.
