NZ Tattoo Artist’s Incredible Sport Stars Tattoos

“New Zealand tattoo artist Steve Butcher has set the bar extremely high when it comes to inking sport stars from around the world,” as reported in an article in the Irish Examiner.

He recently made headlines with a tattoo offormer Miami Heat guard Ray Allen’s iconic last-gasp three-pointer which denied San Antonio from winning the NBA title in 2013.”

In a post on Instagram, the New Zealander stated it took him 14 hours to finish the tattoo.

“I personally think that the Ray Allen shot is the greatest shot in NBA history because of its significance and how it changed history,” said Fiona Wong – the NBA fan, who got the Ray Allen tattoo, as reported on ESPN.

“No one can predict how things would’ve been if Ray hadn’t made that shot and the Spurs went on to win the title that year. Would LeBron [James] have left? Would Ray have retired?”

“Butcher’s artwork is amazingly detailed”, according to the article in The Irish Examiner.

He is known worldwide for his tattoos – especially for drawing NBA stars such as Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant.
