Proof of Life co-star David Caruso disagrees: “Once in a generation an actor will come along and set a benchmark for everybody else to aspire to. He’s the real deal”. Proof of luck, Crowe is also Hollywood Actor of the Year, Broadcast Film Critics Association Actor of the Year (second time running) and in the race  for the Golden Satellite Awards Actor of the Year.
