Postcard-spotting?

Lynn Barber leaves the trains at home and follows the postcard route through godzone, finds it to be “truly paradise” but also close to 100% boring. “To appreciate NZ you need to be all the things I’m not – outdoorsy, non-smoking, sports-loving, uncynical and culturally undemanding.” Do you fit the above description? Lynn finds justification for the 24hr flight in Auckland, the food and wine and Roto Vegas’s thermal baths, but warns: “if your brain clamours for a bit of stimulus now and again, be sure to take a good book.
