NZ firm Opus International Consultants has expanded its business in Canada with the purchase of Geoplan Consultants Inc. Opus already has offices in the UK, Malaysia and Australia, and in 2002 won the Trade New Zealand Services Exporter of the Year Award for boosting yearly exports from $9.5 million in 1999 to $28.8 million in 2001. The company was the driving force behind Auckland’s recently launched Britomart Transport Centre, and is currently working on the redesigning the London Underground’s Piccadilly Line.
