Lorde Joins Disclosure For Saturday Night Live Performance

Together with Disclosure, Sam Smith and Lorde turned the Saturday Night Live studio “into an electric, colorful stage” when performing tracks off Disclosure’s latest album Caracal during last night’s episode hosted by Elizabeth Banks.

Sam Smith kicked off the evening with a performance of ‘Omen’ and was followed by New Zealand singer Lorde, who joined Disclosure on stage to perform their single Magnets.

According to MTV, “the group dialed back their normal heavy synths, giving the performance a more organic feel for the live setting.”

After the performance the Kiwi star tweeted “We’re just a bunch of kids from faraway places and we played on Saturday Night Live! It’s all a bit overwhelming and I’m crazy grateful”.

Their song Magnets shot to No. 1 on iTunes in New Zealand when it was released in September, as reported on the New Zealand Herald.
