Law Lord Retires

Lord Cooke of Thorndon, the man whose decisions changed the face of race relations in New Zealand, retires from the Privy Council. “Lord Cooke’s achievement in being appointed as a law lord on his retirement as the senior judge in his own country is unlikely ever to be repeated”.
