Helen Clark Ranked 23rd Most Powerful Woman

Helen Clark has been ranked #23 in Forbes annual audit – The World’s 100 Most Powerful Women.   

“As the most powerful woman in the United Nations (and first UNDP female head), Helen Clark uses her global bully pulpit and billions in funds to assist development and humanitarian efforts around the world”, writes Forbes Magazine.

The former New Zealand Prime Minister was listed just two places behind Beyonce.

The ranking includes women from eight different categories: billionaires, business, celebrity, finance, media, philanthropy and intergovernmental organizations, politics and technology.

These women are being rated according to their money, media presence, spheres of influence and impact.

German Chancellor Angela Merkel was ranked The World’s Most Powerful Woman followed by Hillary Clinton and Melinda Gates, Cochair of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.

Oprah Winfrey was the top ranking billionaire at No.12, Beyonce Knowles leads the entertainment category at No.21 and Anna Wintour reigns over the media sector at No. 28.
