Emilia Wickstead Shares Her Favourite Things

London-based, New Zealand-born fashion designer Emilia Wickstead shares a few of her favourite things for the Telegraph’s “My Luxuries” column. Wickstead, who according to the Financial Times showed a “whimsical and poetic” SS17 collection at the recent London Fashion Week, declares New Zealand her “ultimate escape”.

Wickstead also tells the Telegraph that her fashion indulgences are vintage jewellery:

“I collect from stores when I travel. Most recently in America I found a vintage golden ball Céline bracelet on a chain. I also love a colourful Missoni crochet swimsuit with matching headband. [On my feet] Rochas. In particular, flat styles. I feel far more empowered, sophisticated and forward-thinking in flats than in high heels. Especially when I am working and hosting meetings.

“Prada Infusion d’Iris [is my favourite] perfume – my mother wears it so it feels like home away from home. It’s lovely to smell her scent at all times.

“A 1970s Mercedes-Benz convertible [is my dream drive]. I imagine zipping around town in it, I love anything that’s already lived in another era.”

And what single thing would make your existence more luxurious? the Telegraph asks.

“More time,” Wickstead replies.
