Former Prime Minister Helen Clark, the first female administrator of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), the third-highest UN position, will make an appearance at Grimsby Central Hall on November 19 to discuss the challenge of world development. This is Grimsby says: “This is a unique opportunity to hear the chair of the United Nations Development Group, a committee consisting of the heads of all UNDP funds, programmes and departments working on development issues.” Clark was officially sworn in by UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-Moon on April 27 last year.
