The New Zealand String Quartet has recorded an album of Asian composers in St Anne’s Church, Toronto. The ensemble’s fifth disc for the label Naxos includes Tan Dun’s Eight Colours, T?ru Takemitsu’s A way a lone, Gao Ping’s Bright Light and Cloud Shadows, Spiral III by Chinary Ung, and Zhou Long’s Song of the Ch’in. The disc will be released in 211.
