Record New Zealand Wine Exports

New Zealand wine exports have hit a record high as the USA becomes New Zealand’s largest export market for wine.

“Underlying the growth is the very positive reputation of New Zealand wine amongst consumers and the wine trade globally,” said Philip Gregan, CEO of New Zealand Winegrowers.

“The new record level of wine exports is an outstanding achievement for New Zealand wine exporters and testifies to the strong global demand for our wines.”

While the country’s most improving market was the US, exports also grew in the Canadian and the UK market.

Wine is New Zealand’s 6th largest export good and is now exported to more than 90 countries, according to the article in The Drinks Business.
