Denver Welcomes Hayden Barrie’s New Coffee Shop

New Zealander Hayden Barnie – formerly a roaster with Coffee Supreme – and his wife American Amy Cohen will open Stowaway Kitchen + Coffee in Denver in September.

Stowaway plans to not only offer a full espresso bar that highlights roasts from local companies like Boxcar (where Cohen currently works), Corvus and Sweet Bloom, but it will also have a full breakfast and lunch menu as well.

Food, outside of pastries, is something that many Denver coffee shops do not currently offer with the exception of a handful of favourites — but it is commonplace in shops in Melbourne, according to Barnie and Cohen.

The couple met while teaching English in Japan.
