Ashleigh Good in Dolce & Gabbana’s Tribute To Mothers

New Zealand born model Ashleigh Good came down the catwalk holding her baby daughter Emily at the Milan Fashion Week. The duo was part of the Dolce and Gabbana show, which had us taking a second to think about the most important women in our lives: our moms.

Backstage, images of famous mothers and their children decorated the designers’ inspiration board, and dresses adorned with adorable children’s drawings hung on the racks.

Stefano Gabbana told the UK Telegraph “It’s good to see emotions on the catwalk.” “We decided in a way, our job is like social reportage. We wanted to pay tribute to the family and show how important it is, now more than ever.”

“It’s about all the girls looking different and gorgeous and Dolce,” and not only celebrating motherhood, but “the power of women in general”, make-up artist Pat McGrath told Allure Magazine.

For Ashleigh the Dolce and Gabbana show was not the first she participated in as a mother. The New Zealand-born model had already featured in the Chanel haute-couture show as a bride when she was pregnant in her third trimester.
