Air New Zealand Best Australasian Airline

Air New Zealand was named Australasia’s leading airline for the ninth year in a row, writes Hannah Moore in an article for The Daily Mail. It’s the airline’s 16th World Travel Award since 2005.

“This latest award is further recognition of the outstanding efforts of Air New Zealanders to create a world class company that our nation can be proud of,” said Air New Zealand Chief Executive Officer Christopher Luxon.

“We have invested significantly over recent years to improve the customer experience on the ground, in-flight and through digital channels and it is terrific to see this paying off with numerous awards and all-time high satisfaction scores.”

“The airline also took out the Leading Airline Brand award during the 2017 World Travel Awards,” as reported in the article.

Other airlines nominated in the Australasia category were Air Tahiti Nui, Fiji Airways, Jetstar Airways, Qantas Airways and Virgin Australia.
