Boston Globe profiles Nelson’s World of Wearable Art (WOW), which has grown “from a soggy one-night affair in a tent 16 years ago to become one of New Zealand’s iconic arts events, selling out 2,500 seats nightly.” According to the Globe, the “avian frenzy” at the 2003 awards typified by the Bizarre Bra’s winning entry, ‘Budgerigar Bra’ – put Bjork’s swan-draped get-up at that year’s Oscars to shame.
