Karapiro Medals

New Zealanders Eric Murray and Hamish Bond won gold with a narrow win over their rivals at this year’s Rowing World Championships on Lake Karapiro. The coxless pair edged ahead with less than 4m to go, to deliver a twelfth victory against the British. Juliette Haigh and Rebecca Scown also took gold medal at the championships in the women’s coxless pair. Emma Twigg, New Zealand’s entry in the women’s single sculls race, earned herself a bronze, while lightweight-pair James Lassche and Graham Oberlin-Brown won silver competing in their first senior world championship regatta.
