Celebrate South Asian Creatives with Anita Chhiba

Anita Chhiba, the New Zealand-born, London-based founder of Diet Paratha, an Instagram account and online “corner store”, is dedicated to celebrating the full range of talents across the South Asian diaspora run by creatives in the British capital, David Loudos writes for Illinois News Today.

Chhiba, 31, is a second generation Gujarat Indian born and raised in Pukekohe, Auckland.

“I started Diet Paratha in 2017,” Chhiba explains. “Whatever the background, the [Instagram] account is here to highlight the best of South Asia.”

Chhiba was recently profiled on Dazed Digital. The article said:

“[Diet Paratha] showcase[es] luminaries including Vogue India’s Model of the Year 2020 Aishwarya Gupta and rock icon Freddie Mercury aka Farrokh Bulsara, [and] as well as staging innovative photo shoots, [the account] brings the best of the South Asian experience to your fingertips.”
