Roadmap For Understanding

Mt Eden’s private Ficino School has a Sanskrit Language Studies program and claims that learning one of the world’s oldest languages accelerates a child’s reading ability. Hindu statesman Rajan Zed has applauded the school for fostering universal virtues and encouraging Sanskrit studies, adding that Sanskrit has a close relationship with other classical languages like Latin, Greek, French and German. According to principal Peter Crompton, “Sanskrit with its almost perfect grammatical system … provides children with a roadmap for understanding English.” Ficino School offers an education for girls and boys from year 1 to year 8.
