Queen of Eyewear Karen Walker Spearheads New Range

“The reigning queen of cult eyewear, Karen Walker, is back with another sunglasses collection, and yes – the lookbook is just as adorable and the styles are just as lustworthy as we’ve come to expect from this Kiwi creative,” Harper’s Bazaar reports.

“So how does she keep her inspiration fresh after over a decade of creating sunglasses? We asked. ‘It’s all down to imagination and having something to say’ according to Walker.

“On her creative process, she goes on explain ‘We don’t stop and start eyewear collections. We’re constantly evolving, experimenting and developing styles so there’s always lots of new work coming through and the collections are really just how they’re curated.’

“And the designer’s personal favourites from her first summer 2016 collection? ‘I love the new octagon shape MOON DISCO and the shield version of our classic number ones, COSMONAUT.’”
