Advance screenings of the (typically) dark drama have sparked talk of likely Oscar nominations. Toronto Star feature hails Paquin as “a true-life Hollywood success story.” Canny film choices and a close-knit family have spared the Kiwi actress the usual fate befalling former child stars: namely drug-addled anonymity.
