Lancashire University Appointment for Professor Robin Pollard

New Zealander Professor Robin Pollard has secured the dual role of deputy vice-chancellor and vice-president of the University of Central Lancashire (UCLan) group.

Pollard has a reputation as an experienced and accomplished leader of university developments.

Prof Pollard trained as a physicist and during his career he has undertaken research positions in Canada, USA, and Australia.

After completing an MBA, he moved from physics to marketing academic roles at Monash University in Melbourne.

The university’s new chief executive officer Richard Hext said of Pollard: “I am delighted to welcome a man whose experience and track record within the field of higher education international development is second to none.”
