Wellington-based artist Sarah McNeil is presenting new work at San Francisco’s design store and gallery Rare Device in an exhibition entitled, ‘Eighteen Twenty Three’, from November 5 through November 29. According to a press release: “McNeil’s paintings in ‘Eighteen Twenty Three’ are worked and reworked in gouache and pencil, reflecting the way an historical event or precious memory is remembered and then re-remembered until it becomes a separate idea from the original.” McNeil completed a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts at Monash University, Australia in 27.
