Formula E’s Mitch Evans Mounts Championship Charge

Mitch Evans and Jaguar took advantage of a two-month break earlier in the Formula E season to make the necessary tweaks and now the Auckland-born star is mounting a championship charge, Samuel Meade reports for The Mirror.

Evans, 27, concedes going through the data with a fine-tooth comb ensured his Jaguar was a “rocket ship” after their early season struggles.

The New Zealander became the first man to win a Formula E race in Jakarta as the grid visited the Indonesian capital for the first time.

“At the moment we’re not completely bulletproof – in Berlin we had a tough few days, but we think we know why,” Evans said.

Evans races in the London E-Prix on 30 and 31 July.
