Factory opening in US

New Zealand dairy giant Fonterra is taking on the tenancy of the Heartland Corporate Center in Shorewood, Illinois. Fonterra’s products will come to the United States from New Zealand via ships and then be transported via rail to Chicago, which is considered the midpoint for American distribution. Fonterra will occupy 5, square feet — half of the available space at Heartland. The company will create 23 new jobs, and an estimated 2 trucks will enter and leave the site every day.
