NZ filmmaker Andrew Niccol is again poised to “[draw] filmgoers into audacious mind games” with his latest feature Simone. Like previous projects Gattaca and The Truman Show, Simone explores the complicity of the media and general public in creating icons out of illusions: in this case, the computer generated actress of the film’s title.
