Bountiful Inspiration

New Zealand’s exotic landscapes and lush flora were the inspiration behind American artist Mary Powell’s monotype prints she is exhibiting at RiverSea Gallery in Astoria, Oregon. Each piece has been printed several times, creating layers of colour, texture and natural images from the beautiful forests of the Bay of Islands area of New Zealand. Powell owns and operates Shoalwater Cove Gallery in Ilwaco, Washington, and divides her time between the Pacific Northwest and New Zealand. Her art is influenced by the people and environments of both countries.
