Waving the flag

Wellington-born singer/songwriter Brooke Fraser’s third album Flags is reviewed by Birmingham, Alabama university magazine The Samford Crimson. Reviewer Matt Davidson describes the album as “unlike any other Fraser has put out because it tells a story with many different elements intertwined within.” “Every song is a unique gem of its own, filled with bombastic choruses and guitar riffs to quench any good music lover’s thirst for something new and different. From start to finish, Flags is a true work of Fraser’s creativeness in crafting a lively album.” USA Today music reviewer Elysa Gardner writes: “At their best, her tunes have a sparkle that sneaks up on you; for the uninitiated, they’re bound to be one of this year’s happier surprises.” Fraser is touring the US and Canada through November.
