Peter Jackson to Get Star on Hollywood Walk of Fame

New Zealand filmmaker Sir Peter Jackson is set to receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame ahead of the release of his new film The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies.

Jackson will be honoured with a star on December 8. His star will be placed outside the Dolby Theatre, the venue for the Academy Awards.

“We are very happy to honor such an esteemed filmmaker as Peter Jackson with a star on the Walk of Fame” said Ana Martinez, producer of the Walk of Fame ceremonies.

“His groundbreaking and award-winning films are part of the legacy of larger-than-life, Hollywood-style entertainment that is beloved the world over.”

Actors Orlando Bloom, Evangeline Lily, Lee Pace, Luke Evans, Richard Armitage, Elijah Wood, and guest speaker Andy Serkis will be in attendance at the ceremony.
