Black Caps at Lords

Date: 16th - 20th May 2013

Location: Lord's Cricket Ground, London

Host: Lord's The Home of Cricket

Lord’s Cricket Ground is preparing for an antipodean summer in 2013, as England take on both New Zealand and Australia as part of an exciting international fixture list at the Home of Cricket. Lord’s has also announced a restructure of its hospitality set-up, in a bid to strengthen and reinforce its reputation for high quality food and first class service levels.

First up, in the 2013 season, Ross Taylor’s New Zealand team arrives at the Ground to play a Test Match from Thursday 16th to Sunday 20th May, followed by a One Day International on Friday 31st May.

Since their first tour to England in 1931, New Zealand have played fifteen Test Matches against England at Lord’s. Taylor will be hoping that his team will fare better than their predecessors, as the Black Caps have previously secured only one win, alongside six losses and eight draws at the Ground. All of the Kiwi players will undoubtedly also be aiming to earn their lasting place in the history of the Home of Cricket, by getting their name etched onto one of the famous Batting and Bowling Honours Boards in the Pavilion. By scoring a century or taking five wickets on the hallowed turf their name will be inscribed indefinitely alongside former New Zealand greats such as Sir Richard Hadlee and Martin Crowe.

While tickets for the England v New Zealand Test Match and ODI at Lord’s will be balloted early in the New Year, hospitality packages for both matches are available to book now.

Hospitality venues at Lord’s include the Captains’ Lounge, in which private tables of up to ten guests are hosted by a former international captain, and the light-filled Nursery Pavilion, which overlooks the practice nets where the players warm-up. All packages incorporate a perfect combination of high quality cricket, fantastic food and drink, and the opportunity to entertain clients and friends over a whole day. There is no more memorable way to experience Lord’s.

Prices start from £325 + VAT and further information about the unique range of hospitality packages for the 2013 New Zealand Test Match and ODI can be found at www.lords.org/hospitality or to book your place call 020 7616 8598.
