Pondering the commercialisation of higher education it  explores how goals of education and the path to happiness have changed: “enlightenment is not a pressing goal in liberal education today, and the public tends to have a different definition of happiness for students, one that declares all too often that knowledge and the ability to be critical and argumentative are not the source of joy; happiness is more likely to be found through a good job.”
