Ironman Legend Cameron Brown Legs It in Taiwan

New Zealand ironman legend Cameron Brown has won the Ironman 70.3 Taiwan, an international professional half ironman triathlon competition that took place in early November.

Brown, who has won 10 Ironmen titles in New Zealand, completed the event in a time of 4 hours 5 minutes and 43 seconds.

Ironman 70.3, also called “Half Ironman,” is a sporting event recognised by the World Triathlon Corp. (WTC), a for-profit corporation that organises, promotes and licenses the Ironman Triathlon, Ironman 70.3, and the 5150 series of triathlon races.

An Ironman 70.3 race comprises a 1.9km swim, a 90.1km bicycle ride and a 21.1km road race. In total, the distance covered 113.1km or 70.3 miles, which inspired the event’s title.
