New Zealand’s high quality food and beverage industry is responsible for market growth in Thailand, according to acting New Zealand Trade Commissioner to Thailand Thanadej Trakulyingyong. New Zealand’s food industry, in particular dairy products, has a strong presence in the local market with 15 billion baht or US$492 million in import value in 21, up by 4 per cent year-on-year. “New Zealand is an island country and reports of outbreaks are rare. Tight regulation by its food safety authority assures the fine quality,” Thanadej said.
