Amongst the World’s Best

Three New Zealand hotels are included in the 2013 Travel + Leisure compendium of the top-rated 500 hotels around the globe with The Lodge at Kauri Cliffs taking the No 16 spot in the top-50. The George in Christchurch and Huka Lodge also feature. Although American-owned, the publication says, “Kauri Cliffs is, lodge-wise, 100 per cent Kiwi”. The George is described as a “boutique hotel with minimalist lithographs by local artist Ralph Hotere, and 53 light-filled rooms, overlooking Hagley Park.”
