Strengthening Trade Ties With India

“Amy Adams, New Zealand Minister of Justice, Courts, Broadcasting and Communications is leading a trade mission to India to strengthen trade ties between both the nations”, as reported in Businessworld.

“India is our tenth largest export destination with two-way trade in goods and services totalling $1.2 billion in the year to June 2015. India is also our sixth largest market for service exports and there are growing opportunities for innovative technology suppliers”, said Adams.

New Zealand is also planning to assist India’s fast growing renewable energy sector to support sustainable growth.

“New Zealand is a natural partner for countries looking for innovative assistance and advanced technology to harness and realise renewable energy and clean technology opportunities, and environmental management,” said Adams.

By 2025 New Zealand is looking to raise its generating capability of renewable energy from 80% to 90%.
