Steven Adams uses New Zealand slang in bank commercial

New Zealand basketball star, Steven Adams has brought New Zealand and its Kiwi slang closer to the USA with the latest commercial for the Oklahoma bank chain BancFirst.

In the commercial Adams speaks like he would back home at New Zealand which results in some comical translations and the need for subtitles.

“So if you’re a bright spark, you’ll have a geez at them, and if you do, you deserve a chocolate fish. Bancfirst, loyal to Oklahoma, loyal to you. Sweet as.” the player ends the commercial.

Steven Adams is a New Zealand native basketball player, who currently is playing for Oklahoma City Thunder of the National Basketball Association.
