Serko’s Darrin Grafton One of World’s 25 Most Influential Travel Execs

New Zealander Darrin Grafton, co-founder and CEO of Serko, an online travel and expense management software company, has been named one of Business Travel News’ 25 most influential industry executives of 2014.

Grafton’s win marks the first time anyone from Australasia has been recognised in the 31 years the awards have been running.

The award puts Grafton amongst a high calibre of previous winners including Steve Singh, chairman and CEO of American travel and expense management company Concur Technologies, and CEO of American Airlines Tom Horton.

“I’m extremely honoured and humbled to be the first New Zealander to be recognised amongst an incredible array of winners,” Grafton said, after accepting the award in a ceremony in New York.

“New Zealand is punching well above its weight in the technology space; boasting some great companies like Xero, Vend and Serko, who are all taking on transformation of critical business processes on the global stage. It is really exciting to be part of that right now.”
