Ritz-Carlton Coming to Auckland

The Ritz Carlton will open an Auckland Hotel come 2019, reports Chris Chamberlin in an article in the Australian Business Traveller.

“We have long desired to bring The Ritz-Carlton to New Zealand and we’ve patiently waited for the right partner and opportunity that will create a showcase worthy of this world-class city,” said Hervé Humler, President and CEO of The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company.

The property will be located in Auckland’s CBD near the Sky City entertainment precinct and will “offer 360-degree views of the city’s twin harbours, with the nearby Waiheke Island vineyards a short helicopter ride away,” writes Chamberlin.

The new 300-room luxury hotel will feature “a street-level café and two fine dining restaurants, which “plan to showcase fresh New Zealand produce on their menus”.
