NZ Dancers and Choreographer Open AMAs With Jennifer Lopez

“Jennifer Lopez has blown away music fans and fellow performers with a show-stopping dance medley at the American Music Awards – and a Kiwi is getting the credit,” as reported in an article on the Sydney Morning Herald.

The pop diva’s performance – a mashup of 2015 hits – was choreographed by Auckland hip-hop dancer Parris Goebel. Six New Zealanders also were amongst her dance team.

“Such a privilege to work on JL’s opening number for the AMA’s and to have 5 of my girls & Lance perform was truly a blessing,” wrote Parris Goebel on Facebook following the performance.

“She gave me my first big break in the industry and to meet up 3 years later to put this together. So grateful for the opportunity to choreograph this. All my love to the my team.”

Parris Goebel is a New Zealand dancer and choreographer, who recently made headlines with her work for Justin Bieber.
