New Ground Features Young Gun Craig Murray

Short film New Ground, made by Austrian ski company Atomic, follows New Zealander, Craig Murray, as he navigates his first stint on the Freeride World Tour (FWT) in 2018.

“Struggling to put down a solid run at the first two stops of last year’s tour, Murray continued to soak in the experience that is the FWT and ended his rookie season with two podium finishes, landing him in ninth place overall,” Freeskier magazine reports.

“Now half way through the 2019 FWT, Murray continues to impress the judges and other competitors, stomping out a first place finish at Kicking Horse, Golden, British Columbia, [in early February].”

Murray, 20, is from Wanaka.
