Keisha Castle-Hughes Starring in Game of Thrones Season Five

 

New Zealand actress Keisha Castle-Hughes has joined the Game of Thrones cast in the series’ fifth season, which has just kicked off in the US and New Zealand.

Castle-Hughes is starring as Obara Sand, one of “Red Viper’s” (Oberyn Martell) illegitimate daughters.

“Obara Sand likes to think of herself as a warrior monk. Some of her favourite pastimes are murdering people with her spear, and meditating, and picking on her younger sister “, according to the actress.

In season five the “fierce lady-warriors”, referred to as the Sand Snakes return to avenge their father’s gruesome death.

The New Zealand actress is known for her award-winning lead role in Whale Rider in 2002 in which she starred as child actress.
