Ed Sheeran Pays Touching Tribute to Jonah Lomu

“Ed Sheeran has paid a touching tribute to All Blacks great Jonah Lomu by taking to the stage at his concert wearing the late rugby legend’s number 11 jersey”, writes Jenny Awford for The Daily Mail.

According to the Daily Mail the crowd at Mt Smart Stadium erupted when the singer finished his first song and turned around to pick up his second guitar – revealing the rugby star’s name” on the back of his replica of the All Blacks’ Rugby World Cup jersey.

Lomu, who died on November 18 this year, will be remembered as rugby’s first global superstar after bursting on to the international stage at the World Cup in South Africa in 1995.

He scored 37 tries in 63 Tests for New Zealand and is one of the biggest rugby legends of all time.
