Auckland Ranked #3 in Global Quality of Living

Auckland has been ranked #3 in the 18th Mercer Quality of Life study. In the report New Zealand is the highest ranked English speaking country as well as the top country in the Pacific region.

“New Zealand cities illustrate a stable infrastructure, increased availability of housing on the city fringe and lifestyle choices that are particularly appealing to the younger generation,” said Lorraine Jennings Mercer mobility leader as reported in The New Zealand Herald.

Mercer’s Quality of Living Ranking, which includes 230 destinations is based on their Quality of Living Survey. Living conditions are analyzed according to 39 factors such as the political, social, economic and socio-cultural environment as well as recreation and education according to Mercer.
