Strong Brand and the Product’s the Real Deal

Lewis Road Creamery, located at Green Valley Dairy, Mangatawhiri in the Waikato, is included in the “The Monocle 100” list as one of the “innovative minds behind global food production.” “Until last year, the best butter you could buy in New Zealand came from Denmark, such was the dairy industry’s focus on exporting milk powder,” according to the magazine.

Lewis Road Creamery … started last year with two types of butter and recently released a range of organic Jersey milk and cream. ‘I didn’t just want to have a nicely branded product,’ says owner Peter Cullinane – though he has that too. It deftly leverages New Zealand’s reputation for being the best producer of dairy in the world and delivers with flavour.
