Sir David Low: “the greatest political cartoonist of the century”

London’s Evening Standard previews an exhibition by the Kiwi cartoonist Churchill called “a green-eyed young Antipodean radical.” His work was banned in Nazi Germany and fascist Italy due to “the savagerealism” of his pen. Acknowledged as a satirical genius his influence on contemporary cartoonists is unparalleled.
